Tale of a Well-Lived Life

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when publishedLet me tell the tale
Of a well-lived life,
Woven in time,
Anchored in eternity.

Odysseus bargained with storms
For the chance to return home.
The sea asked in return,
Why do you journey at all?

He offered courage in exchange
For one more dawn,
Bargaining his breath
For a passage through the unknown.

He traded years of wandering
For a glimpse of Ithaca.
Each quest carried its ending
When the sun offered its light
To the moon.

A well-lived life
Is the sound of the wind
When there are no other sounds.

Woven in eternity,
Anchored in time.
Beautifully unfolding
In its impermanence.
